Joe is nearly 5 months old now and can sit up on his own. We bought him a set of wheels to play in last week. Kwan thought he wouldn’t be able to use them for a few months but how wrong she was. He is already pushing himself around the room at quite a speed.
This weekend Ben came to stay and took great delight in pushing Joe around. It was lovely to see them playing together.
Last week Ben came over and spent time with Joe, Kwan and I. At first he was still very shy about Joe but gradually he came round and when he left he actually kissed his brother for the first time. Ahhhhhh Lovely!
Because Ben is 50% Thai and 50% English most Thais will look at him as having “Perfect Skin Colour” coupled with his long eyebrows and cute grin I have long suspected he would make a great kids model.
Last week Kwan and I were shopping for some clothes and the owner of “Kids Planet” Clothing was in one of their stores and she took one look at Ben and said “I want him” and so here we are 3 weeks later. First modelling assignment completed and hopefully more to come.
The funny thing is he knew something was up, and when, after the shoot the Lady tried to hand payment to his Mum he said “Pom Tang” which translates to “My Money” and he wouldn’t let her have it. When pushed as to “Don’t you think she can look after it for you”, the answer was “Mai Owe” (Don’t want) He gave it to Daddy to look after. I love it, he’s learning so fast!
When we go out with Ben now, He understands the idea of dressing up. Smart Casual is his favourite. he doesn’t like Neck Ties and over complicted stuff which is fine. We usually dress him in stuff from a company called Kids Planet. Real cheap but looks great. The black and white picture is just me playing with the new software on my phone but I really like the picture.
It’s that time of year again!. Next year is the big one that I am not looking forward too, the big five O!
I think it’s time everyone new I am going to be a daddy for the second time. ( Horray, The last time as well I hope. ) Kwan is now 20 weeks pregnant and the baby is strong and health. This month’s scan showed us all his finger and toes and his face! At 4 1/2 months you can’t really see what he is going to look like but it’s still amazing what technology can do these days. It’s another little boy (groan), I really wanted a little girl but never mind, He is due on October the 18th so Ben is going to have a half brother.
Thinking about names right now. Why is it so hard to find the right name. I want something short like Ben so right now the list includes Joe, Sam, Max etc. Any suggestions gratefully received!
Every morning Ben wakes up early and wakes Sa up for a shower and to get ready for school. Apparently he LOVES school. Their can’t be many kids that love to go to school. He came home the other day shouting about Teddy Bears and waving his first picture, naturally of a bear. He certainly didn’t draw the bear and I think he had a guideing hand to put the colour, but never the less still his first picture. Sa already has it framed on the wall..
Last week Ben started school he looks so cute in his uniform. He may only be two but apparently he has taken charge of the teachers and is telling them what to do!
He has also started asking lots of questions which I find amazing considering his age. Maybe we have a budding genious on our hands…. we wait to see.
Well, last year was an amazing year. I wouldn’t have believed Ben could change so much in a year. He is chattering away at a million miles an hour, asking questions and putting whole sentences together.
Its become very clear he is facinated with two subject, Anything Electromechanical, including phones, computers and almost anything with buttons and secondly Water, be it fountains, Jacuzzies, Swimming pools or the sea. He still can’t swim yet but he is not far off. I will feel easier with him around water once he can swim.
As for electronics, its going to be interesting to see how quickly he can really use some of this stuff. He can already call me on the phone and use his radio controlled car.
