Best Friends

Ben and Neon - Best Friends
Lucky and Neo - Best Friends

When we brought Baby Ben home from the hospital I was quite concerned about Neo and Lucky. I have heard lots of stories about animals being jealous and hurting babies. So when we arrived back and let them have a good look and sniff at Ben it was with a degree of apprehension.
But it seems there was no need to worry. For obvious reason they have both got side lined a little since Ben arrived so what have they done. Become best friends, I have never seen a cat and dog sleep together, eat together and play together like these two. Maybe they understand the Thai family concept of everyone living together.
Who knows, but only in Thailand!

Family Visitors

On Sunday, two car loads of family arrived to come and look at Nong Ben. He seemed completely unfazed by the event and slept through most of it, even though he was being used for pass the parcel between all the Aunts and Uncles. The final stage of their visit was of course the Buddhist ritual of tying string and money around his wrists to bring good luck.
Interestingly this starts to bring up the question of Religion for Nong Ben.
My best friend Deano fired the first salvo last week by giving Ben a lovely little cross, but I am sure it won’t be long before he also has some little Buddha as well.
Anyway thats a battle for the future, not now. He will be fine until he is old enough to understand.

I Need More Sleep!
I Need More Sleep!

When we brought Ben home the Doctor said to us. You will know when he feels confident and starts to put on weight because suddenly he will start demanding more milk. Well, between yesterday lunch time and lunch time today he has gotten through 4 bottles of milk PLUS everything Sa can give him. Which is really nice to see, but the down side is he has become a little Poo machine, 5 Nappies since midnight and all FULL.

Unbelievable but I am sure he feels heavier all ready.
As you can imagine he didn’t sleep to much last night and didn’t want to wake up this morning. It was really cute to see him cove his eyes and go back to sleep.

You learn something new every day!

Last night Sa’s two nieces came to stay AGAIN.

As I had to go to work I left them at home to look after Ben.

About 3pm I arrived home to a very Thai Scene.

Just not sure who was looking after whom. The only one awake was Ben who was gurgling quite happily.

Just so Thai Style.

What a Lovely Picture

Sorry, but I just thought this was a lovely picture and felt I wanted to share it with everyone.  He really is opening his eyes now and watch things intently.  He has also quietened down and he slept for 6 hours straight last night – amazing.

I don’t want to blow my own trumpet but now all the new born “puffyness” has gone out of his face, I really really think he looks like me when I was small.
