The following month we returned to hospital to find out the answer to the most important question of all. The doctor was late and then she couldn’t find the papers. You have no idea how Sa and I were on the edge of our seats. Na and the family phoned every few minutes until we eventually got ushered into her office. we held our breath.
Yes, She is pregnant, says the doctor.
Sa and I both had enormous smiles on our faces when we walked out. Sa because she was pregnant , and me, for the same reason and also because it wasn’t going to cost me any more for IVF treatment.
Now the dust has settled, we understand that for a woman of 45 its unusual for IVF to work the first time so I guess we were luck, or as Sa would say thank Budha!
